Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug was known as a various musculoskeletal, however, these drugs have many side effects, such as gastrointestinal ulceration, and renal disorder. To overcome side effects, there have been efforts by directly injecting drug delivery formulation. Several polysaccharides are soft, biocompatible, and biodegradable so that those are directly infused into damage site without invasive surgery. Thermo-sensitive polymers rapidly form hydrogel at a specific temperature, but, this hydrogels formulation is not maintained for long-term in normal condition. Thus, anti-inflammatory drug can be loaded and sustained release. Using these properties, we designed a novel thermal sensitive injectable non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug formulation simply mixing poly-saccharides and thermo sensitive polymer. |
