제목 Glycol and Carboxylic Acid Assisted Hydrothermal Synthesis of Tetragonal BaTiO3 Nanoparticles
초록 BaTiO3 has been widely used as a primary material in various electronic devices including thermistors, electro-optical devices, and multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) due to its prominent dielectric properties. The advances in portable devices necessitate the fabrication of miniaturized MLCCs maintaining high capacity. In this regard below 100nm-sized BaTiO3 powders are essential to reduce the thickness of dielectric layer with increasing the number of layers. However, as the particle sizes decrease, the dielectricity of the BaTiO3 gradually declined. Consequently, the significant issue for industrial application lies in maintains the dielectric properties of BaTiO3 nanoparticles with reducing the particle size. In this study, Sub-100nm-sized BaTiO3 nanopowders are synthesized via hydrothermal process employing glycol and carboxylic acid. The crystallinty and morphology of resulting BaTiO3 nanoparticles have been characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy to confirm the effect of glycol and carboxylic acid on the BaTiO3 nanoparticles.
