제목 Surface-crosslinked organic-inorganic hybrid nanoparticles with thermo-responsive shell layer
초록 This study reports preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid nanoparticles with a crosslinked thermoresponsive shell layer. Surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was used to control molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the grafted polymers. We synthesized 2-bromo-N-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)-2-methylpropanamide as an ATRP initiator and immobilized on the surface of silica nanoparticles. The initiator anchored on silica nanoparticles, ATRP of NIPAAm/MBA was performed on the initiator anchored silica nanoparticles in aqueous media to produce organic-inorganic hybrid nanoparticles with crosslinked polymer layer. The core-shell nanoparticles were also treated with HF to remove silica core, which form hollow nanogels. Thermo-responsive swelling/deswelling properties of the nanoparticles and the nanogel will be discussed.
