제목 | Direct Synthesis of Organic Carbamates from CO2 and Amines |
초록 | Organic carbamates are widely used in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and in the synthesis of polyurethanes. The industrial production of polyurethanes relies on isocyanates, which are synthesized through the thermolysis of organic carbamates. In the present, isocyanates are prepared on an industrial scale via the reaction of the corresponding amines with phosgene. However, since phosgene is a highly toxic compound, the replacement of phosgene with CO2 would be viewed as a significant synthetic improvement. In this study, a highly efficient synthetic method of obtaining organic carbamates through the reaction of CO2 and amines will be presented and discussed.
