Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are well known as a remarkable material for high strength, high aspect ratio, high electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity and field emission property. Fabrication of CNT fibers is an important challenge so that CNT fibers are to be handled easily and utilized in much wider range fields such as field emission device (FED), composite materials, actuator and other fields. Therefore, there have been some researches on the methods to convert CNT powder into continuous fibers in the last few years. In this study, we also fabricated CNT fibers continuously from chemical vapor deposition(CVD) synthesis and investigated the effects of processing parameters on the CNT fibers. From this study, it could be known that types of CNT such as thin-wall and multi-wall carbon nanotube fibers can be selectively produced by controlling processing parameters. |
