In recent years, flexible transparent electrodes have attracted great attention in many wearable optoelectronic devices, such as touch screens, organic light-emitting diodes, solar cells, electronic skins, renewable energy, displays etc. The basic requirements for foldable transparent electrodes are optical transparency, low electrical resistance, and high level of extreme bending toughness without significant decrease in the electrical performance. In this work, we report a novel approach for the fabrication of nanofiber-reinforced highly transparent and extremely foldable electrodes and its potential applications, such liquid crystal smart windows, energy storage devices, and chromic displays. |
