Synthesis and Superhydrophobicity of Fluoroalkyl Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (POSS) Fuctionalized with Ally or Triethoxysilane |
초록 |
Triethoxy silane functionalized fluoroalkyl POSS were synthesized in the presence of Pt catalyst. POSS with open-cage structure were firstly synthesized from fluoroalkyl triethoxy silanes. The open-caged POSS were capped with an ally or a triethosxysilane, resulting in ally- or triethoxysilane-funictionalized T8 type POSS. NMR spectra of the end-capped T8 type POSS showed that their structures are well-defined. The POSS were coated on surface of reinforced glasses and contact angles(CA) of water and hexadecane of the coated glasses were up to 109 and 68 degree, respectively. The CA increased with increase of perfluoroalkyl chain length. The glass coated with trichlorosilane POSS exhibited higher contact angles compared to the counterpart coated with triethoxy POSS, consistent with their XPS spectra. |
