Precise preparation of amphiphilic poly(ethylene glycol) and polyesters block copolymers for biomedical application |
초록 |
The polymerization of caprolacton (CL) and trimethylene carbonate (TMC) in the presence of monomer activator was performed to synthesize poly(ethylene glycol) and polyesters block copolymers composed of PEG and PCL or PTMC using PEG as an initiator. The CL or TMC conversion and molecular weight of PCL or PTMC increased linearly with the polymerization time or the feed ratios of the CL or TMC to PEG in the presence of HCl·Et2O in CH2Cl2 at 25℃. The obtained PCL or PTMC had molecular weights close to the theoretical value calculated from CL or TMC to PEG molar ratio and exhibited monomodal GPC curve. We prepared successfully poly(ethylene glycol) and polyesters block copolymers at room temperature via living ring-opening polymerization of CL or TMC from PEG as an initiator in the presence of HCl·Et2O as a monomer activator.
