Perovskite solar cells (PSC) are rapidly being developed because they can overcome the fundamental limitations of silicon-based solar cells such as weight, opacity, and high manufacturing energy. In general, spiro-OMeTAD has been commonly used in PSC as a hole transporting material (HTM). Due to the high hole tansporting ability of spiro-OMeTAD, a problem of the charge carrier accumulation in the hole transporting layer can be solved to some extent. However, one drawback of the spiro-OMeTAD is instability at high temperature. To enhance the thermal stability of spiro-OMeTAD, we designed its moiety, spiro-OMeCz, as a HTM for PSC by replacing triphenyl-amine units with phenyl carbazole units. Detailed photophysical-, electrochemical-, and thermal properties were investigated and PSC device with spiro-OMeCz as an HTM was fabricated. |
