제목 Photodynamic therapy utilizing tumor targeting carbon dot
초록  Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is necessary a photosensitizer (PS) and light irradiation. The light exposed PS induces cell death via generating reactive oxygen species. Since PS could accumulate into normal cell moreover cancer cell, require material what could target tumor site.
 In this study, we developed that tumor microenvironment specific carbon dots (TDs). The carbon dots have low toxicity, good water solubility and nanosize less than 10 nm. In addition, there is an advantage that a desired functional group could be introduced using a precursor. Therefore, we used this to give TD a pH sensitive ability to target tumor site. We demonstrated that PS encapsulated TDs (PTDs) is only released at the tumor site and accumulated into tumor cell, is not toxic to normal cell. In addition, the PTDs could eliminate distant tumor as well as primary tumor and reactive T cell. Therefore, we demonstrated that TPDs have cancer immunotherapy capacity via PDT.
