The selective ring opening (SRO) of MCP, MCH and tetraline were catalyzed by Ir/USY, Ir/HZSM-5, and Ni/SiO2 catalysts, have been studied, in the context of the removal of polynuclear aromatics from diesel fuel. The catalysts were prepared by impregnation method and their surface was characterized by H2-TPR, XRD, NH3-TPD, BET and TEM. The ring opening reaction was carried out in a fixed-bed reactor at 300℃, using H2 pressure of 30 bar, WHSV of 1.8h-1 and H2/feed molar ratio of 40 and the resultant products were analyzed by GC and GC-MS analysis. The selectivity and distribution of products from RC ring contraction) and RO (ring opening) reactions are strongly affected by the acidicity as well as the metal site of catalysts. |
