Increasing use of fossil fuels raises concerns about environmental issues such as global warming and the depletion of fossil fuels with limited reserves. Hydrogen energy is drawing attention as the cleanest energy of the variety of raw materials and the next generation energy. In recent years, research on producing hydrogen by water splitting using abundant solar energy on the planet is attracting attention. This produces only H2 and O2 as by-products and is therefore known as a future-oriented study. Therefore, it is essential to develop a photocatalyst that decomposes water more efficiently to produce hydrogen. Therefore, in this study, ferrite structure, which is well known as water decomposition oxidation catalyst, was prepared. In particular, Zn was introduced into the structure of the 3d transition metal to synthesize a spinel type ZnxFe3-xO4. And, in the structure, it was to compare the efficiency according to the ratio of Fe and Zn. |
