Recently, solar cell industries are growing by leaps and bounds about 30~40% per year. During solar cell industry, back-sheet studies are at primary level in Korea. For this reason, Korea depends heavily on imports for back-sheet materials. Back-sheet protects the solar cell module from moistures and other circumstance effects in the back side of the module. To protect and extend the solar cell life, these studies are needed - (1) Vapor or Moisture barrier properties (2) Resistance to weathering and UV exposure (3) Electrical insulating properties (4) Physical protection of cell from a wide chemicals, solvents and staining agents (5) Offer of reliable long life. In this study, PET-based back-sheets are fabrication using R2R type laminator. Mechanical, thermal, water vapor barrier property, and environmental testing were tested. |
