제목 Liquid crystal mixtures with constant retardation value at all wavelength
초록 In general, the refractive index of liquid crystal larger with shorter wavelength of light and longer wavelength becomes smaller. However, if the retardation value remains constant depending on the wavelength, range of applications in the display industry is much widened. In order to develop the liquid crystal providing these kind of ideal outcomes, we used liquid crystal mixture giving the other disperse wavelength. This mixture measured all wavelength will have a constant retardation value. Retardation value was measured with the refractive index and coated film thickness using LCD-2000SR (Otsuka Electronics) equipment. In addition, liquid crystal mixtures in the wavelength range of 500nm Retardation value of 125nm appeared and broadband 1/4 wave plate can also perform the role. In this study, even if we change the wavelength range, retardation value appear constant showed liquid crystal mixtures.
