Glucose sensitive cubic phase containing HmPVA and boric acid |

Our group developed a glucose sensitive monoolein cubic phase containing HmPVA and boric acid. Interaction with PVA and boric acid is well known phenomenon. Under aqueous phase PVA hydroxyl group and boric acid can cross-link each other and forms a gel also glucose hydroxyl group can interact with boric acid. Utilizing this interaction monoolein cubic phase containing hydrophobically modified PVA and boric acid showed glucose sensitivity. In low glucose concentration (100mg/dl) the cubic phase showed low release percentage on the other hand in high glucose concentration (over 200mg/dl) it showed high release percentage. |
