제목 Fabrication of PEG-PEDOT:PSS Conductive Polymer Hydrogels
초록 Conductive hydrogels composed of conductive polymer and hydrogel gained attention in many fields, especially in tissue engineering. The environment similar to real tissue had regarded as highly effective on tissue engineering, and conductive nature of cardiac tissue requested conductive scaffold for cardiac tissue engineering. PEG-based hydrogels are widely used in tissue engineering with water friendly nature, while conductive polymer materials can give high conductivity with low toxicity. Poly(ethylene glycol)-diacrylate (PEG-DA) with poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid) (PSS) become photocrosslinked hydrogel by UV exposure, resulting PEG hydrogel containing PSS chains inside. The high electrical conductivity was obtained by in-situ polymerization of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) within PEG/PSS hydrogel added with small amount of diluted sulfuric acid (H2SO4). In vitro experiments with myocytes on developed hydrogels show low cytotoxicity and cell proliferation was demonstrated.
