Hepatocytic Differentiation of Adipose Stem Cells in Dual Growth Factor-Loaded Alginate/HA Hydrogel for Liver Tissue Engineering |
초록 |
Liver tissue engineering requires a suitable cell source, methodologies to assemble the cells within their niche microenvironments in a spatially defined manner, and vascularization of the construct in vivo for maintenance of hepatocyte viability and function. In this study, we developed an injectable alginate/hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogel system for the controlled release of growth factors [basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and/or hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)] and thus enhancing the differentiation of adipose stem cells (ASCs) into hepatocytes. The growth factors were continuously released from the hydrogels for more than 35 days. The dual growth factor-loaded alginate/HA hydrogel showed the enhanced hepatocytic differentiation of ASCs compared to the hydrogels with single growth factor loading or those without growth factor. |
