초록 | Recently, we have synthesized an aliphatic polyester containing a malonate moiety as a basic frame of the main chain.1) Because of the strong acidity of the malonate moiety, the polymer readily underwent a Knoevenagel type self-condensation in the presence of a weak organic base at room temperature to produce certain conjugated forms in the polymer backbone, leading to such unusual photophysical properties as a visible absorption and a quite strong blue/greenish-blue photoluminescence. In this work, a free-standing film based on a network aliphatic polyester consisting of malonate moiety was prepared. The film changed from colorless to pale yellow upon heating at 240 °C and then emitted a quite strong blue light when excited at wavelengths longer than 325 nm (Figure). The thermally treated film was perfectly homogeneous in micro level without any defects such as decomposition and aggregation and, showed excellent thermal and mechanical properties.
