제목 A role of rubbery polymer for methane recovery from C1 refinery process
초록 Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and silicon rubber is known to be as a typical gas permeable polymer. However, for its extremely high gas solubility and free volume, the selectivity for gas separation is not enough for separation process. In this work, the thin film composite (TFC) membranes comprising rubbery polymer as a selective layer have been developed for methane recovery. To enhance gas selectivity of methane over ethane, gas solubility has to be enhanced by increasing free volume. In this work, the polysilisesquioxane porous filler was tried to enhance gas solubility. Ethane permeance over methane has been measured by continuous membrane test apparatus and the membrane performance also be optimized by microporous support in TFC.
