제목 | Surface Active Properties of Anionic Surfactant with azobenzene group |
초록 | One of the essential properties of surfactants is a high solubility in water. Moreover, in the case of anionic surfactants, they have received a lot of attention because their superior surface activities such as emulsifying and foaming power could be utilized for many applications. In this study, we fabricated photoresponsive anionic surfactant, N-(azobenzene-4-oxy-2-hydroxypropyl)-N-(alkyloxy-2-hydroxypropyl)aminopropyl sulfonic acid sodium salt, (GnAZAS, n= 6, 8, and 12), which showed high water solubility. The synthesized GnAZAS surfactants were isomerized to 92.5% of cis form by UV light, and the cis form was reconverted to 74% of trans form by visible light. The initial foam height of the 0.1% trans-GnAZAS solution (n= 6, 8, 12) was 34, 36, and 40 mL, higher than that of the cis-GnAZAS solution (n=6, 8, 12) at 26, 27, 28 mL, respectively. Also, the emulsion stability of the synthesized GnAZAS surfactants was confirmed by Turbiscan Lab. |
