Thermal Conduction in MWCNT Thin Films |

We study the dependency that persistence length of individual multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) has on their collective thermal and electrical properties when they are formed network structure together into MWCNT thin films and MWCNT/polymer composite films. We use three kind of MWCNTs has difficult mesoscopic shape. Static bending persistence length (lsp) can represent the mesoscopic shape. Network length (le) can represent network structure. The thermal and electrical properties depend both on the static bending persistence length (lsp) and network structure (le). The thermal conductivity of bucky papers increase with increasing (lsp). The surface resistivity of MWCNT/polymer composite films increases with increasing (lsp). On the contrary, bucky paper’s surface resistivity decreases with increasing (lsp). |
