Synthesis of Ultra-long Carbon nanotubes on Silicon wafer substrates |

Vertically aligned and ultra-long carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were synthesized on silicon wafer substrate coated with polymer by thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD). CNTs growth were studied by the reaction time variables. Aluminum (Al) / iron (Fe) were deposited on substrate with polymer (DGEBA, PS) coating by using electron beam evaporation. CNTs were synthesized by using ethylene gas and argon bubbler for water supply was used. The morphology and structure of CNTs were observed with the field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscope(HR-TEM). Raman spectroscopy is used to the characterization of CNTs. Raman features of CNTs present the radial breathing mode, tangential mode(G-band) and disorder induced mode(D-band). |
