제목 Water Purification and Renewable Energy Generation Membranes Cast from Alcohol/Water Nanodispersions of Disulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone) Random Copolymers
초록 Disulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) copolymers have been widely used in the diverse applications such as fuel cell and water purification owing to their hydrophilic nature and ion-selective behavior. SPAES copolymers have a solubility limited to hazardous polar aprotic solvents with high boiling points, which makes their processing window narrow. Hence, the development of an alternative polymer processing technique using benign solvents with low boiling points has been earnestly needed. In this study, a new platform (termed, “alcohol/water nanodispersion casting”) which enables the fabrication of thin films with unique characteristics including improved permeation/rejection behavior is described.
