Biodiesel which produced by transesterification of canola oil has similar properties to diesel, while significantly lower emissions of pollutants in diesel vehicles. Especially the vegetable oil as an ingredient in maintaining biodiesel such as canola oil has been spotlighted as a new fuel source. In this study, in order to investigate the optimum conditions, we produced biodiesel using methanol, ethanol and propanol. This experiment was performed in some variables which are temperature (45~85℃), alcohol/oil mole ratio (3~9), and so on. The produced biodiesel was estimated by BD yield, fatty acid alkyl ester content, high heating value, and kinematic viscosity. |
