Preparation and physical characteristics of chitin cycloester derivatives |
| 초록 |
Acylation of chitin is one of the methods to improve its solubility. In this study a series of chitin cycloesters were prepared using cyclocarboxylic acids and Trifluoroacetic anhydride. The products were characterized using FT-IR and 1H NMR and their thermal property and morphology were analyzed using, differential scanning calorimetry and scanning electron microscopy respectively. The results showed that combining carboxylic acid(s) with chitin provides new products with improved physical properties. |
