To prevention of restenosis, we modified the surface of metallic stents. In our previous studies, stents coated PEG derivative or heparin were improved blood compatibility, but it has been problems about bond stability. In this stuty, the concentration of amino-silane grafted on the metallic stent surfaces was more chemically amplified via an aziridine coupling reaction. From this result, the concentration of PEG derivative or heparin was enhanced. Modified surfaces were characterized by Electron spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis (ESCA), Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) and static water contact angle measurement, respectively. For estimation of blood compatibility, we have experimented platelet adhesion test and protein(fibrinogen, and total protein) adsorption test. As a result of these tests, stents coated PEG derivative or heparin were showed more good blood compatibility than one of bares. Now, We are going in progress in vivo test using pig for stents of coating and bare. |
