제목 Crosslinkable Waterborne-Polyurethanes by In-situ Polymerization Using Aminoplast
초록 Crosslinking has been used in many industrial coatings and adhesive applications to improve solvent and chemical resistance, hardness, and mechanical properties of polymers. The study used alkylated melamine-formaldehyde resin (aminoplast) as a crosslinking agent for the waterborne-polyurethane (WBPU) dispersion. The effect of the crosslinking were investigated on the mechanical, thermal, dynamic-mechanical-thermal, and adhesion properties of the WBPUs. In-situ polymerization resulted to be more effective process than a conventional blending process.
