Bioplastics Research Trends and Polymerization of Polyester Alternative Biopolymer |

Concerns about petroleum depletion and Green House Gas (GHG) emission drive to focus on research of alternative materials being able to replace commercial polymers. In our talk, we introduce many kinds of biopolymer, research trends such as biomass derived monomers and polymerization technology using them. Also we showed that new polyester alternative biopolymer were synthesized by condensation polymerization from biomass derived monomer and found the main parameters of polymerization effect on molecular weight and their distribution. |
