With the growing of interest for renewable energy resource, the study of secondary batteries have been carried out in many fields. Among many types, Liquid ion batteries (LIBs) were used broadly owing to its high ion conductivity. Nevertheless, in aspect of safety, the problem of explosion and fire by leakage of liquid electrolyte are remained. As the solution to this problem, researches of the solid-state polymer electrolyte (SPE) have been conducted. In this study we selected poly(ethylene oxide) as base material of SPEs. PEO-based SPEs were considered the most promising source because of high capability and good ion conductivity. However, problems are still existed due to crystallinity of PEO polymer. Therefore, polymer blended with other monomer that has epoxide ring was used in this study. Synthesized polymer was processed to film and fiber form and measured its electrochemical properties. |
