This study investigate the effect of plasma functionalization on the powder form of polypropylene and carbon nanotube to prepare the polypropylene (PP)/carbon nanotube (CNT) composite. PP and CNT are modified by plasma functionalization with plasma power of 50 W and exposure time of 10 min under oxygen environment. The treated composites are evaluated by electrical, mechanical and rheological properties. The overall results indicate that plasma treated composites shows significant difference compared to untreated composites, especially at the loading level of lower than 2 wt.% of CNT. It is mainly due to the achievement of a good wettability, and an efficient dispersion of the CNTs in the polymer matrix |
