제목 Study on Preparation of Microporous Polypropylene Membranes by a Thermally Induced Phase Separation Method with Supercritical CO2
초록 In this study, microporous polypropylene membrane was prepared by a thermally induced phase separation(TIPS) process in supercritical CO2.
Polypropylene was mixed with a solvent and melted at 140 ℃. The blended polypropylene solution was placed between glass plates and suddenly cooled by ice water.
The solvent contained in the polypropylene membrane was extracted out by supercritical CO2. The dried membranes were obtained after removing CO2 from a chamber by opening the valve.
The prepared membranes had a sponge structure. Pressure of CO2(100~150 bar), polymer concentration, and temperature(30~60 ℃) had an effect on the average pore size and membrane porosity.
