Electrochemical properties of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 materials Coated with Trimethoxy(octyl)silane |

LiNi1-x-yCoxMnyO2 cathode material have attracted much attention as promising alternative cathode materials due to their high capacity and good cycling stability. Understanding and control of interfacial phenomena between cathode materials and liquid electrolytes are of scientific importance for reinforcing development of high-performance lithium ion batteries. The effects of trimethoxy(octyl)silane (TMOS) as coating layer on the surface of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cathode active materials were investigated. Electrochemical properties and charge-discharge capability of TMOS-coated LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cathode materials were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping(EDS mapping) and electrochemical test. |
