Solution processable silver nanowires (Ag NWs) are prepared as highly transparent and conductive electrodes for inverted organic solar cells (IOSCs). Ag NW electrodes were fabricated by simple spin-coating onto glass and flexible poly ether sulfone (PES) substrates at mild temperatures. The optical, morphological and electrical properties of Ag NWs electrodes were systematically investigated. IOSCs comprised of substrate/Ag NWs/ZnO/polymer:PC71BM/PEDOT:PSS/Ag were fabricated. The optimized conditions, IOSCs with glass and PES based on Poly[4,8-bis[(2-ethylhexyl)oxy]benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene-2,6-diyl][3-fluoro-2-[(2-ethylhexyl)carbonyl]thieno[3,4-b]thiophenediyl] (PTB7-F20): (6,6)-phenyl-C71-butyric acid ester (PC71BM) show a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.47 % (Jsc = 16.33 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.688 V, FF = 57.51 %) and 6.04 % (Jsc = 15.44 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.653 V, FF = 59.12 %), respectively. |
