The effects of the substitued thiophene based benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b’]dithiophene (BDT) polymer : synthesis, properties and organic photovoltaics. |
초록 |
We demonstrated the effects of different substituents in thiophene based benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b’]dithiophene(BDT) copolymer on photovoltaics performance. Device using BDT with carbonyl group(BDTCOT) polymer shows higher power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 4.66% compared to polymer with alkyl chain, ester group and without side chain. Higher open circuit voltage(Voc) value originates from deep HOMO level, caused by electron withdrawing property of carbonyl group. In addition, higher short circuit current(Jsc) and fillfactor(FF) are attributed to planar polymer backbone by non-covalent O---S intra interaction, which is confirmed by space charge limited current(SCLC), Atomic force microscopy(AFM) and Grazing incident wide angle x-ray spectroscopy(GIWAXS). |
