제목 | Fabrication of renewable VOC filter with metal oxide-decorated activated carbon |
초록 | Activated carbon (AC) decorated with metal oxides which act as photo-catalysts is developed for adsorption and removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Tungsten oxides and titanium oxides are applied as photo-catalysts to decompose the VOCs under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. To evaluate the VOC adsorption and removal efficiency depending on the type of metal oxide, the changes in VOC concentrations are measured with controlling several variables. Moreover, the amount of metal oxides decorated on the surface of AC is adjusted to improve the VOC removal efficiency. This approach provides new possibilities for developing the renewable VOC filters.
