Al2O3 exists in various phases and may change its phase depending on temperature. In general, it is present in the form of γ, δ, θ, α, and the γ type is mainly used in various ways as a support for chemical catalysts. However, the α form formed at a high temperature is less catalytically active than γ, and the material properties are increased. The α form is known as a material having excellent heat absorption ability and excellent heat transfer and release. However, since the α form is formed at a high temperature, there is a disadvantage of high production cost. Therefore, in this study, various synthesis methods with precursors were tried to synthesize α alumina formed at a low temperature, and α-Al2O3 produced at 1100°C was obtained. The α-Al2O3 thus formed showed excellent performance as an endothermic material. |
