제목 Syntheses and Characteristics of Biomimetic Adhesive containing DOPA derivatives
초록 L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine(DOPA) originated in blue mussel’s adhesive proteins is widely known for having strong adhesion strength underwater. This structure is possible to interact with surfaces such as glass, rock, steel and plastics because of catechol group contained DOPA derivatives. In this study, We describe a chemical approach to improve adhesion properties by applying modified DOPA. Also, copolymers with DOPA derivatives and various acrylic monomers were made by free radical polymerization. Moreover, blends of copolymers, PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer and divalent cations were carried out through solution blending to induce the formation of complex coacervate. Adhesion and surface property of polymer blends were characterized.
