Hybrid Solar Cells from a Blend of P3HT:PCBM and Ag nanowire |

Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) can be processed from solution process and offers a very important technological potential for low-cost fabrication of lager-area solar cells. The most widely used configuration of organic solar cells is the so called bulk-heterojunction device, in which the active layer consists of a blend of electron-donating material, for example, p-type conjugated polymer, and an electron-accepting material (n-type) such as [6,6] phenyl C61-methyl acid ester (PCBM). Here, We investigate the optical properties of silver nanowire used in single organic photovoltaic cells. The power conversion efficiency was further improved to 5.0% by applying a short circuit density of 13.15 mA/cm2, an open circuit woltage of 0.64 V, and a fill factor of 59.4% under AM 1.5 100mW/cm2. |
