제목 Formation of Heterogeneous Nanoparticles in PS-b-PAA Micelles for Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering
초록 Metal nanoparticles (NPs) such as Au NPs and Ag NPs are quite interesting because they support localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) in visible region. Therefore, the assembly of different NPs into superstructures could produces distinctive properties owing to the interparticle plasmonic coupling phenomena. We demonstrate the formation of heterogeneous NP assemblies by utilizing polystyrene-block-poly(acrylic acid) micelles in attempt to induce plasmonic coupling for surface-enhanced Raman scattering. To this end, the surface of Au NPs was modified with Raman active ligand and introduced into the core of micelles. Subsequently, the corona of micelles was further functionalized by Ag NPs. The final NP assemblies exhibited enhancement of Raman signal by orders of magnitude. In addition, we further studied the SERS property by adjusting the physical dimension of nanoparticles.
