제목 Mechanical and In vitro Evaluation of Three Layered Composite Scaffold of BCP, Bioglass and Gelatin Hydrogel for Bone Tissue Engineering
초록 In this experiment porous scaffold of Biphasic Calcium Phosphate (BCP) was prepared by sponge replica method. Then coating of 58SP9 Bioactive glass was placed by microwave sintering. Finally there was hydrogel coating crosslinked with EDC (3-(3-dimethyl aminopropyl) carbodiimide). So the final composite scaffold remained porous but mechanical properties rose considerably. The scaffold was characterized by several experiments such as SEM, EDX, XRD, FT-IR. Materials properties and morphology was evaluated by compressive strength and porosity measurement. Cytotoxicity was carried out by in vitro experiments such as MTT assay and Confocal imaging by using MC3T3-E1 pre-osteoblast cells. Real-time PCR showed the effective gene expression by the scaffold system. All the data showed that final prepared composite scaffold was significantly better compared to conventional BCP scaffold from both mechanical and biological view point.
