We investigated the influences of micropore structures on H2 storage behaviors of carbonaceous materials. For the experiments in detail, we prepared three kinds of carbons, having similar specific surface areas but different micropore fractions. N2/77K adsorption isotherms were investigated by BET and D-R plot methods to characterize the textural properties. The hydrogen storage behaviors were studied by using PCT apparatus at 298K/100 bar. From the results, it was found that total hydrogen stored was proportioned to the specific surface areas of the carbons, but, in the samples with similar specific surface areas, the micropore fraction played a key role to determine total amount of hydrogen. |
