A research on cell interaction is important in many biological processes such as quantified cell adhesion, cell aggregation and direct drug injection research area. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is a powerful tool for measuring the cellular interaction force between a single cell and AFM probe. Using this system, researchers have studied the interaction forces between cell membrane and biomaterial coated AFM tip on a single cell. Herein, we showed the capturing a single cell and direct injecting technique with AFM. The surface of AFM probe was modified by the polymers (PVP, Polyoxazoline, PEG-dopa and HA-dopa materials) which could interact with the cells. The fluorescent ink was used as an injectable drug to demonstrate direct injecting capabilities of our system. All characterization was performed by atomic force microscope, confocal laser scanning microscope and scanning electron microscope. |
