Energy Consumption and Energy Recovery of Capacitive Deionization |
초록 |
Water and energy scarcity have emerged as global crisis humanity by rapid industrialization and population growth. As a consequence, there has been increasing demand for desalination techniques with low energy consumption. Compared to the conventional desalination techniques such as RO and distillation, capacitive deionization (CDI) has drawn attention for low-cost and low energy intensive process. In this talk, we will introduce evaluation of energy consumption of CDI according to operational modes and energy recovery system to provide comprehensive guide for the construction and operation of high energy-efficiency CDI process. |
