Colloid silica template core nanoparticles were surface-modified by MPS(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate) to introduce carbon double bonds, and polymerized with NIPAAm(n-isopropyl acrylamide), foamable MATSH(methacryloyl toluenesulfonyl hydrazide), crosslinkable MBAA(methylene bisacrylamide). Thermoreversible nanoporous hollow nanospheres were prepared by foaming poly(MATSH) and then by selective removal of SiO2 template cores using hydrofluoric acid etching. Colloid silica nanoparticles modified with polymers and their hollow polymer nanoparticles were characterized by dynamic light scattering(DLS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) image, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) image, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies(NMR). |
