Effect of crosslinking on the durability of vinylbenzyl chloride-co-Styrene-co-hydroxyethyl acrylate anion-exchange membranes |
초록 |
The crosslinking density of a crosslinking agent can affect the performance of an ion-exchange membrane. This work compares a crosslinking membrane in glutaric dialdehyde (AVSH-GD) and a crosslinking membrane in glutaric acid (AVSH-GA). The two membranes were expected to perform differently. As a result, the AVSH-GA exhibited a better performance than the AVSH-GD. The thermal properties of membranes were measured. The basic functions of the membranes were measured. The structures of the membranes were confirmed using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The tensile strength, the degree of crosslinking and the chemical resistance of the membranes were also evaluated. |
