Two-dimensional materials have been interested much attention after discovery of graphene. Especially in the field of capacitors, many studies have been conducted to make composites to obtain high energy density and breakdown strength using these nanosheets like boron nitride and polymers. In this study, two-dimensional mica nanosheets which can bond to difluoromethylene (-CF2) groups of PVDF polymer are used. The mica nanosheets were exfoliated by 3-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane (APTMS) and decorated by several sizes of silver nanoparticles. As the silver nanoparticles reduced by dimethylformamide (DMF) form a local polarization, dielectric constant increases and observed percolation phenomenon. Through FeSEM, XRD, FT-IR analysis of the thin films of nanocomposite, the uniform distribution of silver decorated mica nanosheets, enhanced polar phase of PVDF matrix and formation of hydrogen bonds were confirmed. And dielectric permittivity, leakage current, P-E loops, breakdown strength and energy density of the nanocomposites were measured over wide frequency and temperature range. |
