Fluoro-containing Sulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone)s as an Electrode Binder for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell |
초록 |
Fluoro-containing sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (FSPAES) was synthesized and characterized for the application to the electrode binder for direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). The effect of this binder in the electrode on the fuel cell performance was studied. The electrode based on FSPEAS binder showed a good adhesion to the sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) membrane, while Nafion binder is delaminated from the SPAES membrane after operating the fuel cell for a prolonged time. The FSPAES binder for electrode was found to be more efficient in achieving long-term stability of the fuel cell performance than the conventional Nafion binder |
