제목 A Study on Mesoporous Activated Carbons for High Power Density Supercapacitor from Biomass Precursors
초록 In this work, biomass-derived activated carbons (AC) were prepared under various hybrid activation conditions for the supercapacitor. The biomass precursor was activated at 900°C for 10-50 min by using physical activation (CO2) and chemical activation (KOH). The crystallite structure of the AC was observed by XRD and Raman spectroscopy. The textural properties were studied by BET, BJH, and NLDFT equations with N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The electrochemical properties of the supercapacitors were analyzed by using a galvanostatic charge/discharge, cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. As a result, the specific surface area and the mesoporous volume ratio of biomass-derived AC were influenced by the activation time. It was also observed that specific capacitance was found to be depended on the functions of the specific surface area. The AC was applied as an electrode for high power density supercapacitor and analyzed in relation to the activation conditions.
