| 제목 | The effect of direct fluorination on modified pitch from pyrolysis fuel oil |
| 초록 | In this study, we prepared modified-pitch from pyrolysis fuel oil (PFO) by direct fluorination and thermal treatment at various temperatures. The effect of direct fluorination on modified pitch was investigated from an elemental analysis, softening point, molecular weight, viscosity and polarization microscope analysis. The softening point and molecular weight were increased in proportion to temperature of direct fluorination. However, it is revealed that polymerization reaction of pitch did not occur anymore even though reaction temperature is high during the fluorination treatment. This result could be attributed to the strong radical reactivity of the fluorine.
