The advantageous structural features and specific surface area of mesoporous silica MCM-48 were exploited in its use as a template for synthesizing nitrogen-doped carbon materials. Carbon materials were obtained from sucrose as a carbon source and pyrrole as a nitrogen precursor. The ordered structure, surface characteristics, and textural properties of the nanostructure materials were studied by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), elemental analysis, and N2/77K adsorption-desorption experiments, respectively. The CO2 adsorption capacity was evaluated via TGA and the cycle-ability and regeneration performance of the obtained carbons were evaluated. |
